What Happens on Your First Day

Many students hesitate because they do not know what to expect. Here is exactly what your NLIT ESL experience looks like from Day 1.

Level Assessment (Before Day 1) WhatsApp admissions. We assess your level via a short conversation and confirm the right course for you. No test anxiety. No formal exam.

Day 1 - Meet Your Class Small groups of 8-12 students at your level. Your instructor introduces the 4-week plan, learning goals, and how sessions work. You speak English from the first hour.

Week 1-4 - Practical Daily Sessions Each session covers real situations - workplace conversations, reading tasks, writing exercises, and speaking practice. You build skills you use immediately outside class.

Week 4 - Assessment & Certificate Continuous assessment throughout the course. Final evaluation in Week 4. Your KHDA-approved CEFR certificate is issued on successful completion. Ready to show employers and institutions.

What level should I start at? +
WhatsApp admissions and we will do a quick level assessment with you. Most students start at A1 or A2. If you are unsure, we will guide you.
How long is each course and what does it cost? +
Each level is 80 contact hours over 4 weeks. The fee is AED 2,080 per level. You can complete all four levels (A1 to B2) in approximately 16 weeks. Ask admissions about bundle pricing and installment plans.
Is the certificate recognised in the UAE? +
Yes. All certificates are KHDA-approved and CEFR-aligned, making them recognised by UAE employers, universities, and government institutions.
Can I join mid-intake? +
Intakes run monthly. Contact admissions to confirm the next available start date for your level. We will match you to the right cohort.
Do I need to speak English to enrol in A1? +
No. A1 is designed for complete beginners. Admissions can assist you in Arabic or your language to get you enrolled and started.
Where is the campus? +

What is the IELTS equivalent of each level? +

What technology do you use for learning? +
NLIT uses Canvas LMS for online materials, BigBlueButton and Zoom for online sessions, and a computer lab for supplementary online instruction. All digital resources are provided by the instructor through Canvas.
Who are the instructors? +
All NLIT ESL instructors hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline, a minimum of 5 years of English language instruction experience, and CELTA certification or equivalent. You will always be taught by qualified, experienced professionals.
Can ESL lead to a diploma program? +
Yes. NLIT ESL is the official English pathway into NLIT's diploma programs in partnership with George Brown Polytechnic (GBP), Canada. Completing B1 or B2 meets the English entry requirements for Hospitality, Hotel Operations, Tourism, and F&B Management diplomas.
